Sonya Yoncheva travels throughout France and Spain in July, bringing her spectacular voice to some of the continent's most unique and premiere venues. On July 16 she presents a solo recital at the annual Festival de Lacoste. The performance, accompanied by piano, will be hosted at the Théâtre des Carrières - tickets and additional information can be found via FestivaldeLacoste.com.
On July 22 Ms. Yoncheva sings the role of Stephana in a concert presentation of Giordano's Siberia, in her return engagement for the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier. She previously sang the title role in Mascagni's Iris at the Festival, in a "rich, beautiful" (Forum Opéra) portrayal that left the audience breathless. Domingo Hindoyan conducts the Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie for the Festival performance of Siberia, featuring an international cast which includes Marin Yonchev as Ivan - Il Cosacco, Gabriele Viviani as Gleby, Murat Karahan is Vassili, Catherine Carby is Nikona, and Anaïs Constant sings La Fanciulla. The Chœur Opéra national Montpellier Occitanie and Chœur de la Radio Lettone also join for this event, which will receive a radio broadcast via FranceMusique.
Following her performances in France, Sonya travels to Castell son Claret in Mallorca, one of the most beautiful resort hotels on the island, to perform a solo recital on July 29. The evening is featured as a Gala event, which also includes a pre-performance dinner and reception. Purchase your seats for this not-to-be-missed occasion at the following link.
