On February 27 at 1pm ET (7pm Central European Time), Sonya Yoncheva will star within the Met Stars Live in Concert series in a recital at the stunning library of the Kloster Schussenried monastery. The concert will be video streamed live on https://metstarslive.brightcove-services.com/ .

Accompanied by Julien Quentin, Sonya will sing arias from Verdi’s Aida and Il trovatore, Dvořák’s Rusalka, Puccini’s La bohème, Le villi and Madama Butterfly, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Handel’s Rinaldo, Massenet’s Thaïs and Manon, Bizet’s Carmen and a song by Marguerite Monnot and Édith Piaf.

Founded in 1183 by Premonstratensian monks, the Bad Schussenried monastery in South Germany was step-by-step enlarged until the mid of the 18th century. The magnificent library where the recital will take place is considered one of Germany’s most important Rococo rooms.
