Met Stars Live in Concert at Kloster Schussenried

Sonya Yoncheva’s Met Stars Live in Concert recital had to be postponed to February 27 at 1pm ET (7pm Central European Time), as Sonya is ill (with a non-Covid illness). It will take place at the stunning library of the Kloster Schussenried monastery and will be video streamed live on .

Accompanied by Malcolm Martineau, Sonya will sing arias from Verdi’s Aida and Il trovatore, Dvorák’s Rusalka, Puccini’s La bohème, Le villi and Madama Butterfly, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Handel’s Rinaldo, Bellini’s Il pirata, Bizet’s Carmen and a song by Marguerite Monnot and Édith Piaf.

Founded in 1183 by Premonstratensian monks, the monastery close to Ulm in the South of Germany was step-by-step enlarged until the mid of the 18th century. Particularly notable is the magnificent library, which is considered one of the most important Rococo rooms in South Germany.
