Sonya Yoncheva makes role debut as Fedora at Teatro alla Scala
On October 15, Sonya Yoncheva makes her title role debut as Fedora at the Teatro alla Scala in a new Mario Martone staging conducted by Marco Armiliato.
The series of seven performances is running through November 3 and sees Sonya sharing the stage with Roberto Alagna and Fabio Sartori as Loris, Serena Gamberoni as Olga and George Petean as De Siriex.
This is Sonya’s return to La Scala following various concerts and performances as Mimì in La bohème and Imogene in Il pirata. After the shows in Milan, Sonya will bring the role to the Metropolitan Opera in a new production opening on New Year’s Eve.
