Sonya Yoncheva to star in “Fauteuils d’orchestre” on France 5

Sonya Yoncheva will be the star guest of the upcoming edition of “Fauteuils d’orchestre” on France 5, telecast on April 16 at 20:55h CET.

In the first part of the event, Sonya will be interviewed by Anne Sinclair, who will also guide the viewers through the evening. The second part of the night will feature a concert starring Sonya and her invitees for the program, tenor Benjamin Bernheim, accordion player Félicien Brut, cellist Astrig Siranossian and countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński. They will be accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under the baton of Myung-Whun Chung and the Cappella Mediterranea led by Leonardo García Alarcón.

Sonya will sing “Un bel dì vedremo” from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, “Like an angel passing through my room” (ABBA), “Pur ti miro” from Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea with Jakub Józef Orliński, “Tacea la notte placida” from Verdi’s Il trovatore, “Adieu, notre petite table” from Massenet’s Manon, “Parigi o cara” from Verdi’s La traviata with Benjamin Bernheim and “No hay que decirle el primor” (Torrejon y Velazco).
