“Rebirth” at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden

Sonya Yoncheva is back at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin to present her concert program Rebirth with the Cappella Mediterranea led by Leonardo García Alarcón. At the concert on September 8, Sonya will sing music by Stradella, Monteverdi, Cavalli, Gibbons, de Ribayaz, Marín, Purcell, García-Alarcón, de Murcia, Dowland, and Díaz, among others.

Sonya first performed this program to great acclaim at the Salzburg Festival 2020 and later in cities including Geneva, Barcelona, Brussels and Sofia, all with the Cappella Mediterranea and Leonardo García Alarcón. They also recorded it for Sony Classical and the album was distinguished with one of the most important awards in the classical music field, the Opus Klassik.

Brazilian debut with recital program “Ad una Stella”

Sonya Yoncheva makes her Brazilian debut presenting Ad una Stella at the Cultura Artística Hall of São Paulo on August 31st and September 2nd.

With Malcolm Martineau on the piano, Sonya performs her celebrated recital program featuring music by Puccini, Martucci, Tosti and Verdi. Additionally, Malcolm Martineau plays music by Albéniz.

The duo has performed in recital all over the world, from New York to Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, Munich, Valencia, Bordeaux, Montevideo and Buenos Aires, only to mention but a few.

Gala concert at Dubrovnik Summer Festival

On August 25, Sonya Yoncheva stars in an open air gala concert in front of the Cathedral of Dubrovnik.

Alongside tenor Joseph Calleja and bass Ante Jerkunica, Sonya sings arias and duets from “Il Trovatore”, “Le Villi”, “Madama Butterfly” and “Tosca”. Ivan Repušić conducts the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra.

The concert closes the 2024 edition of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and is being telecast by the Croatian TV channel HRT3 live at 10pm Central European Time. Link to watch the complete concert online (using a VPN):
