Zarzuela concert at Peralada Festival
On July 26, Sonya Yoncheva returns to the Peralada Festival in Spain for an evening of Zarzuela entitled Pasión.
Alongside tenor Ismael Jordi and accompanied by Rubén Fernández Aguirre on the piano, Sonya sings “Noche hermosa” from Katiuska, la mujer rusa by Pablo Sorozábal, “Tres horas antes del día” from La Marchanera by Federico Moreno Torroba, “Lagrimas mias” from El Anillo de Hierro by Pedro Miguel Marqués, “Todos lo Saben” from La Taberna del Puerto by Pablo Sorozábal, “De España vengo” from El niño judío by Pablo Luna, “Carceleras” from Las hijas del Zebedeo by Ruperto Chapí, “No corté más que una rosa” from La del manojo de rosas by Pablo Sorozábal and “Vaya una tarde bonita” from El Gato Montés by Manuel Penella.
Sonya returns to the Peralada Festival and the Església del Carme del segle XIV following her 2022 Festival debut. With Ismael Jordi, she has performed an acclaimed Zarzuela concert last year within her recital series “Inmost Voices” in Sofia.
