Sonya Yoncheva will perform in the Season Presentation Gala of the Wiener Staatsoper on April 28 at 11:30am local time. The event will be live telecast by ORF III and video streamed on the YouTube channel of the Wiener Staatsoper:

Asher Fisch will lead the Orchestra of the Wiener Staatsoper.

In this upcoming 2024/25 season, Sonya will star at the Wiener Staatsoper in a Recital within the theatre’s Great Voices Series as well as in three opera productions: in the title roles of Tosca and Iolanta (new staging) and as Maddalena di Coigny in Andrea Chénier. Following her acclaimed Butterfly in February, Sonya Yoncheva is back at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin for two performances of Tosca.

Sonya returns to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden as Floria Tosca, a role she performed in 2019 in the same Alvis Hermanis production. This 2024 run also features Joseph Calleja as Cavaradossi and Ambrogio Maestri as Scarpia. Ivan Repušić conducts.

Following these shows in Berlin, Sonya will sing the role of the Roman Diva at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Caracalla Festival in Rome and the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv.
