On June 12, Sonya Yoncheva presents her recital program Ad una Stella at the renowned Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise.

Joined by pianist Malcolm Martineau, she will perform a selection of art songs by Giuseppe Verdi, Francesco Paolo Tosti, and Giacomo Puccini, as well as operatic arias from Tosca, La Bohème, and Madama Butterfly.

The recital takes place in the historic setting of the Église Notre-Dame d’Auvers-sur-Oise.

Sonya Yoncheva makes her highly anticipated role debut as Lisa in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades at the Metropolitan Opera. The production runs from May 23 to June 7, 2025, with performances on May 23, 28, 31, and June 4, 7.

Arsen Soghomonyan sings the role of Hermann, Igor Golovatenko is Prince Yeletsky, Violeta Urmana the Countess, and Alexey Markov Count Tomsky. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts, and the production is by Elijah Moshinsky.

The first and final performances will be broadcast: on May 23 at 7:25 p.m. ET, the premiere will be aired as Live Audio Stream on the MET’s website and on SiriusXM. The June 7 performance will be broadcast live at 1 p.m. ET as part of the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday Matinee Radio Broadcast series, allowing audiences worldwide to experience the show.

On May 11, 2025, the Opéra Garnier in Paris hosts a remarkable event: the Rolex Ambassadors Concert, celebrating the 150th anniversary of this iconic venue. Sonya Yoncheva is among the evening’s distinguished performers, joining fellow Rolex Testimonees Juan Diego Flórez, Sir Bryn Terfel, Rolando Villazón, pianist Yuja Wang, and conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who will lead the Vienna Philharmonic.

The evening’s program features selections from composers such as Bizet, Massenet, Gounod, Verdi, Rachmaninov, and Tchaikovsky, offering a rich tapestry of classical music. This concert not only showcases the talents of these world-renowned artists but also underscores Rolex’s commitment to the arts through its Perpetual Arts Initiative.

All proceeds from the evening go to the Orchestre lyrique de jeunes de l’Opéra national de Paris (ADO – Apprentissage de l’Orchestre).

The evening will be broadcast on TV by various stations, among them ORFIII on May 29 at 23:05h and 3Sat on May 31 at 20:15h.
