Homage to Maria Callas at Royal Opera House Muscat
On May 15, Sonya Yoncheva will make her debut in Oman, appearing in a Homage to Maria Callas at the Royal Opera House of Muscat.
With her on stage will be the legendary Italian baritone Leo Nucci, with whom Sonya will be singing the act 2 duet from La traviata “Pura siccome un angelo”. On the program will also be music from Luisa Miller, I due Foscari, La forza del destino, Rigoletto and Macbeth.
Leonardo Sini will conduct the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana.

Season Presentation Gala at Wiener Staatsoper
Sonya Yoncheva will perform in the Season Presentation Gala of the Wiener Staatsoper on April 28 at 11:30am local time. The event will be live telecast by ORF III and video streamed on the YouTube channel of the Wiener Staatsoper:

In this upcoming 2024/25 season, Sonya will star at the Wiener Staatsoper in a Recital within the theatre’s Great Voices Series as well as in three opera productions: in the title roles of Tosca and Iolanta (new staging) and as Maddalena di Coigny in Andrea Chénier.
