“Ad una Stella” in Buenos Aires and Montevideo

Sonya Yoncheva makes her Argentinian and Uruguayan debuts in October. Singing for the first time at the famed Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, Sonya presents her acclaimed Ad una Stella recital program on October 5. This is followed by another recital featuring the same program at the Auditorio Nacional del Sodre in Montevideo. On both occasions, Sonya performs with Malcolm Martineau on the piano.

The concerts not only feature Italian art songs by Puccini, Martucci, Tosti and Verdi, but also arias from some of the most beloved Puccini operas: “Se come voi piccina” from Le villi, “Vissi d’arte” from Tosca, “Donde lieta uscì” from La Bohème and “Un bel dì vedremo” from Madama Butterfly.

The list of venues where Sonya has presented her Ad una Stella program, with slightly different repertoire, is impressive and ranges from the Metropolitan Opera to the Salzburg Festival and the Berlin Philharmonie, with stops in Paris, Munich, Madrid, Peralada, Bucharest, Monte-Carlo, Toulouse and Valencia.
