Cancellation “La Juive” at Wiener Staatsoper
Sonya Yoncheva is forced to cancel the upcoming production of La Juive at the Wiener Staatsoper, which was supposed to star the soprano in her title role debut. Sonya is suffering from an otisis and according to doctor’s advice can’t travel nor sing until at least August 30. With the premiere of La Juive scheduled for September 5, there was no other way than to cancel the production. Sonya is looking forward to returning to Vienna for her title role debut as Madama Butterfly in June 2023.
