Gala concert in Baden-Baden
On June 3, Sonya Yoncheva returns to the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden to star in a gala concert with tenor Giovanni Sala and the Philharmonie Baden-Baden led by Nayden Todorov.
Sonya will present music from her latest album “The Courtesan”, namely Massenet’s Thaïs, Puccini’s and Leoncavallo’s La bohème, Giordano’s Siberia, Verdi’s La traviata and Puccini’s Manon Lescaut.
Following her house debut in 2014 as Marguerite in Faust, Sonya Yoncheva has been a constant fixture at the Festspielhaus, having starred in numerous gala concerts and as Desdemona in a new staging of Otello and in the title role of Iolanta, both during the Easter Festival Baden-Baden with the Berliner Philharmoniker.
