Operatic gala concert in Düsseldorf
On May 12, 2023, Sonya Yoncheva makes her house debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. Sonya is the star guest of an operatic gala concert organised by the association of the friends of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and will sing conducted by Axel Kober. The concert will also feature ensemble singers of the opera company sharing the stage with her. On the program for Sonya are “Musette svaria sulla bocca viva” from Leoncavallo’s La Bohème, “Sì, mi chiamano Mimì” and the act 1 duet between Mimì and Rodolfo (Eduardo Aladrén) from Puccini’s La Bohème, “Vissi d’arte” from Puccini’s Tosca, “Dis-moi que je suis belle” from Massenet’s Thaïs and “Sola, perduta, abbandonata” from Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. Following the concert, Sonya will sign her album “The Courtesan”.
