Role Debut as Lisa in “The Queen of Spades” at the MET
Sonya Yoncheva makes her highly anticipated role debut as Lisa in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades at the Metropolitan Opera. The production runs from May 23 to June 7, 2025, with performances on May 23, 28, 31, and June 4, 7.
Arsen Soghomonyan sings the role of Hermann, Igor Golovatenko is Prince Yeletsky, Violeta Urmana the Countess, and Alexey Markov Count Tomsky. Keri-Lynn Wilson conducts, and the production is by Elijah Moshinsky.
The first and final performances will be broadcast: on May 23 at 7:25 p.m. ET, the premiere will be aired as Live Audio Stream on the MET’s website and on SiriusXM. The June 7 performance will be broadcast live at 1 p.m. ET as part of the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday Matinee Radio Broadcast series, allowing audiences worldwide to experience the show.
