Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” at the Verbier Festival
On July 28, Sonya Yoncheva returns to one of Rossini’s most dramatic sacred works with a performance of his Stabat Mater at the Verbier Festival.
She is joined by Alice Coote, Sunnyboy Dladla, Ludovic Tézier, and the Choeur de Chambre de Namur, under the direction of Domingo Hindoyan with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra.
The program also includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 49 in F minor, Hob. I:49 «La Passione».
