Sonya Yoncheva hosts special evening for UNICEF in Geneva
On November 15, Sonya Yoncheva emcees a special evening in her role as a UNICEF ambassador and artist “Committed to the Fulfillment of the Rights of Every Child” at Palais de Nation in Geneva. Together with Ms Tatyana Valovaya, general director of United-Nations at Geneva, Mr Yuri Sterk as ambassador, permanent representative of the Republic of Bulgaria and Regina De Dominicis – UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia (ECARO), Sonya speaks about the importance of arts in children’s education as a primary source in resolving some mental health conditions since early childhood. They also talk about Bulgaria, as a member of the UN Human Rights Council and the work of UNICEF in children’s rights. Sonya also performs some arias for the audience of this event, sharing the stage with MusicEnsemble, whose godmother Sonya is and which was founded by Domingo Hindoyan.
