Sonya Yoncheva returns to Salzburg Festival
On August 13, Sonya Yoncheva performs a concert with the Donizetti Opera Ensemble at the Salzburg Festival. The concert takes place at the Haus für Mozart and is part of the festival’s “Canto lirico” series which presents today’s leading opera stars. Sonya sings an all-Italian program featuring music by Donizetti, Verdi, Rossini, Cimara, Puccini, Tosti and Ponchielli.
The superstar soprano returns to Salzburg after last year’s celebrated “Rebirth” concert and her acclaimed 2018 performances in the title role of L’incoronazione di Poppea.
Following this concert, Sonya will be back in Verona for her second and last performance of La traviata at the Arena and in Sofia for a much anticipated gala concert with Plácido Domingo at the St. Alexander Nevsky Square.
