Sonya Yoncheva to make Japan debut

Sonya Yoncheva will make her Japanese debut on July 2, singing an operatic concert in Tokyo with Nayden Todorov leading the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert is part of the Japan Performing Arts Foundation’s Great Singers Series 2022 and will take place at the Bunka Kaikan.

Sonya will sing “Tacea la notte placida…Di tale amor” from Verdi’s Il trovatore, “In quelle trine morbide” from Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, “Pace, pace, mio Dio” from Verdi’s La forza del destino, “Casta Diva” from Bellini’s Norma, “Se come voi piccina io fossi” from Le villi, “Vissi d’arte” from Tosca and “Un bel dì vedremo” from Madama Butterfly.
